The art of protection
Framed within the Erasmus+ KA 171 program, «The art of protection» is an initiative that intertwines creativity and entrepreneurial expansion in Senegal, Uzbekistan, and Nepal. Spearheaded by Professor Francisco Oncina, the project underscores international mobility and academic cooperation as cornerstone principles for achieving sustainable development.
In my role as Coordinator of Internationalization, I oversee the effective performance to ensure the attainment of its objectives. I have also had the privilege of endorsing this endeavor at the «EUIPO Seminar on Designs – Navigating the realm of design protection from a user’s perspective» (9–10 April 2024), highlighting the critical importance of safeguarding creative rights on a global scale.
Our aim is to strengthen collaborative networks, modernize pedagogical methodologies, and foster innovation in craftsmanship. This approach shows how intellectual property can drive progress in countries facing structural challenges. Reinforced by a dedicated team, this agenda exemplifies why education must lay the groundwork for social change. Through partnership and professional ethics, we aspire to create a more inclusive and accessible environment for all.
